One Year of Impact: Reflecting on UAid Direct USA’s First Anniversary

One year ago, we filed the paperwork to create UAid Direct USA — not knowing exactly where the road would lead, but certain of one thing: we had to do something. The war in Ukraine had already displaced millions, torn apart communities, and left families, the elderly, and children in unimaginable need. Many of us had seen it firsthand. Our founders — including myself — had spent time volunteering in Ukraine over these last years, delivering supplies, supporting hospitals, orphanages and shelters, and standing shoulder-to-shoulder with those fighting for their survival and dignity. We witnessed the courage of the Ukrainian people — and we knew we couldn’t just walk away. That’s why UAid Direct USA was born. And what a year it’s been!

A Year of Action and Results

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters here in the United States, UAid Direct USA has been able to assist the ground team at UAid Direct

  • Deliver over $1 million worth of medical supplies, hygiene products, and humanitarian aid directly to Ukraine.
  • Complete 10 regional aid deliveries reaching hospitals, blood centers, orphanages, and frontline villages — often where help was needed most and hard to reach.
  • Provide nearly 2,000 pounds of children’s clothing and 1,100 pounds of baby food and toys to children who have lost everything.
  • Equip medical facilities, including a blood clinic in Southern Ukraine that was rebuilt after being heavily bombed — now saving lives every day.
  • Support critical mental health services for displaced families and children suffering from the trauma of war.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing partners. In addition to Project C.U.R.E., we’ve worked alongside organizations like Partners for World Health, Operation Change Sweden, Operation SafeDrop, and Plebeian Helpers — all dedicated to ensuring aid reaches those who need it most.

Every shipment we organize, every box we pack, every mile we travel — it’s powered by people like you who believe in direct, transparent, and efficient aid.

Ukraine Continues to Fight

Even as we reflect on what we’ve achieved, Ukraine continues its brave fight for freedom and sovereignty.

Just this past week, the world witnessed two incredible victories:

Ukrainian forces successfully damaged and destroyed Russian military planes on a Russian airfield in a daring strike, while also inflicting serious damage on the Crimea Bridge, a vital supply route for Russian forces.

These victories remind us that while Ukraine’s spirit is unbreakable, the need for humanitarian support remains urgent.

Behind every headline are countless civilians — families, children, and the elderly — who still face hardship every day

Why UAid Direct USA Is Different

We stay small on purpose.

We partner directly with volunteers and grassroots groups on the ground.

We don’t believe in layers of bureaucracy.

We believe in action.

With your donations, we’ve been able to move faster, reach further, and support those too often overlooked — children in orphanages, the elderly living near the frontlines, women and families displaced from their homes. 

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate this first milestone, we’re more motivated than ever to keep going. War doesn’t stop for anniversaries — and neither will we.

Today, we are actively raising funds for our next major project with Project C.U.R.E., working toward a $15,000 goal to send another container of urgently needed medical supplies.
