August Highlights: Reaching Frontlines and Beyond

In August, we made significant strides in delivering life-saving supplies to communities in need, both near the frontline and in western Ukraine. From Odesa to Kherson, Zaporizhzhia to Kramatorsk, and many other cities and villages, the aid was distributed to local children’s hospitals and maternity clinics. These supplies have been vital in keeping healthcare services running amidst ongoing conflict.

Partners Making a Difference

We owe the success of these deliveries to our extraordinary partners, including:

In addition, we successfully completed nine deliveries with the help of Гуманітарна Нова пошта!  These collaborations ensure that aid continues to reach those in dire need, even in the most remote and war-torn areas.

Rebuilding Lives: Orphanages and Children’s Centers

Our efforts extend beyond medical supplies. The Mykolaiv orphanage reconstruction is progressing well, with the building for children under 12 nearing completion. However, we need additional funding to finish the project, as further materials and support for the construction team are still required.

We are also excited to share that the Kharkiv children’s center roof reconstruction has been successfully completed, thanks to the generosity of PlebeianHelpers for Ukraine. This project ensures a safer, more secure space for local children to learn, play, and heal.

New Aid Center in Kyiv – A Major Milestone

In a huge step forward, we are pleased to announce that UAid Direct is opening a new aid center in Kyiv, which will serve as our main base of operations in Ukraine, in addition to our storage facility in Poland. This new center, kindly sponsored by Plebeian Helpers for Ukraine, will allow us to better coordinate our aid efforts and expand our reach, particularly as the cold winter months approach.

Continuing Our Mission: How You Can Help

As we continue our work across Ukraine, there is still so much to be done. From completing the Mykolaiv orphanage to gathering winter supplies for the communities we serve, your support is crucial in helping us meet these urgent needs. We are currently looking for donations to support:

  • Building materials and labor for the Mykolaiv orphanage
  • Winter essentials such as gloves, hats, socks, and scarves
  • Medical and hygiene supplies to stock our aid center in Kyiv and deliver to frontline regions

To get involved or contribute, please reach out to us or donate today. Your generosity has a direct impact on the lives of those who have endured unimaginable hardships.

The team at UAid Direct has been honored to work with many incredible individuals who risk their lives to provide aid and support to those in war-torn Ukraine. One of these extraordinary individuals is Ihor Tsurkan, a volunteer leader in Kherson.
We first began working with Ihor when Kherson, on the Dnipro’s right bank, was still under Russian occupation. This was long before the destruction of the dam that flooded much of the city in 2023. His story is one of courage, resourcefulness, and an unbreakable commitment to his community.
